1) Each participant must be registered in the Trout Derby and must display the official tournament registration button. If a participant is over 15, they must also possess a valid New York State fishing License. All members of groups fishing must be registered. 2) NYS. Dept. Of Environmental Conservation regulations must be followed 3) Fish must be presented at the check-in station in LIVE CONDITION by the individual who caught it, as determined by the tournament judges. 4) All fish must be legally and fairly caught - snagging, netting and the use of trot lines are not permissible. Live bait may be used. 5) Fishing hours are 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The check in station will close 15 minutes after fishing ends each day. 6) Fishing is NOT PERMITTED within Derby limits at other times. The river will be patrolled during off hours. 7) Any individual found in violation of the rules will be disqualified. All judges decisions are final. 8) Respect the rights of property owners. Please stay off posted lands and CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES 9) The sponsors of this tournament encourage catch and release tactics, so that others may enjoy fishing in this area. 10) Camping in the park for the derby is not permitted until the Wednesday before the derby. Campers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Camping is allowed in designated areas only. No ground fires are allowed in the park. Respect the right of others around you. The campground is for registered fishermen only. 11 Pm to morning is to be considered quiet time. Loud parties and other noisy activities are to be discontinued at 11 PM 11) No fishing from highway bridges. 12) No parking on pavement surfaces within the park, violations will be enforced. 13) I agree to fish on the Genesee river only during the contest hours on the dates of this Derby and I understand that if I fish outside of the permitted contest hours that my privileges in this contest may be revoked, and my entry fee will not be returned.
